Emilie grew up in Ottawa an avid participant in athletics, gaining an early understanding of the positive mental and physical effects of activity. She has also witnessed the detrimental effects that injury can have on one’s physical and mental health when it hinders them from performing activities that bring them joy. These experiences led Emilie to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa where she developed a keen interest in improving public health, health promotion, and a hands-on approach to healthcare, leading to an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy from Algonquin College. Emilie is passionate about improving mental wellbeing, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, and stresses the connection between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems during treatment. She uses neuromuscular and reflexive techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and corrective exercise to work with her clients to meet their individual treatment goals. In her spare time Emilie enjoys staying active in the gym, running, cooking, and playing soccer.
