After graduating from Algonquin College’s Massage Therapy program in 2015, Kat found herself gravitating towards clients with complex histories. She is eager to treat clients that deal with scar tissue restrictions, PTSD, chronic illnesses, palliative care, and TMJ dysfunctions. Throughout her journey in massage, Kat has been nominated twice by Faces Ottawa Magazine for the Best Massage Therapist in Ottawa and she took home the title in 2019.
While creating a calm, safe environment for her treatments, Kat combines different techniques, assessment tools, and hydrotherapy to tailor her treatments to each client. Educating her clients not only during the session, she helps her clients to improve their quality of life through remedial exercises after they leave the treatment room.
When Kat isn’t treating her clients (and sending them home with homework), you can find her attempting to fit in an extra spin class throughout the day, baking up a storm in the brightest apron you can imagine, trying to rescue every animal (even when they have owners), and, of course, expanding her knowledge of vintage grapes.
