RMT
(Tree Hugger)
In her heart, Andrea hopes that her treatments offer a space where each client can feel increasingly at home in their body. She brings a caring and compassionate approach to the table and is equally happy to offer any variation of light, moderate or deep pressure. She listens to her clients’ goals for treatment as well as their explanations of symptoms to guide her. She will perform a short assessment, where relevant, to clarify the tissues involved in pain. She has successfully helped to manage or resolve postural concerns, tension headaches, neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, tennis and golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve entrapment symptoms, hip pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, thoracic outlet syndrome, trigger point pain, stress tension, anxiety, insomnia, and more. Techniques used vary with each treatment and may include Swedish massage, myofascial release, gentle joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, Golgi tendon organ release, PNF stretching, passive stretching, and pin and stretch. She is always happy to offer homecare and remedial exercises to enhance well-being and encourage the resolution of symptoms. On a personal note, she loves walking and being in the woods, dogs and all animals, and learning about wellness and healing. She strives to stay current with evidence-based massage therapy practices. She feels it is her duty to share, according to current research, the “side effects” of massage therapy may include restful sleep, fewer headaches, less pain, improved posture, lower stress levels and a stronger immune system.

(Adventure Seeker)
Graduated in 2005, from Kine-Concept Ottawa School of Massage Therapy. In Good standing with the CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario) current member of the RMTAO (Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario). Earlier in my career, I worked as a massage therapist at clinics that also provided physiotherapy, chiropractic care and kinesiology services. My immersion in these multidisciplinary environments exposed me to a diverse range of clients, conditions, research and treatments. Through the years, I have integrated my background in Swedish massage with my progressive experience with Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Neuromuscular Technique (NMT), adapting and combining these treatments for a variety of therapeutic and relaxation needs. I have treated numerous conditions including headache and neck pain, tendonitis, lower back injuries, chronic body aches and pains, repetitive stress & strain injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), shin splints, and plantar fasciitis. I have also helped manage chronic pain and maintained muscle and tissue health in clients with Fibromyalgia and M.S. I have a growing interest working with caregivers (of a loved one who has a life-threatening or life-altering illness) who can benefit from massage therapy to ease stress in their time of self-care. I really enjoy and thrive on making people feel better, whether it is directly injury/pain related or just to help ease the stress/anxiety of life and circumstance as I am seeing more and more as the Pandemic has steadily woven itself into our lives over this past year. Other Experience includes LPGA golf tournament, Ottawa Renegades football team, BluesFest, National Capital Marathon, Lung Run. Continuing Education: Cupping Therapy, TuiNa, Introduction to Asian body work, Functional Analysis and Rehabilitation – shoulder, Pilates, cervical spine assessment, Therapeutic Taping, Active Release Technique (ART) upper limb, Thai Yoga Massage Level 1 , Indian Head massage.

(Scream Queen)
I have always had a passion for helping people. When I enrolled in the program, I didn’t really know a lot about massage therapy. But when I graduated from Algonquin College and became registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) in 2010, my passion for this profession was ignited by how much therapeutic touch can help change peoples lives for the better! In my years of experience, I have experience in both a spa environment as well as a multidisciplinary clinic. My treatments generally use gentle yet firm Swedish massage techniques for a therapeutic benefit. Prior to your treatment, we will review your health history and perform an assessment. After which we will discuss your goals for treatment so we can come up with a treatment plan that will allow you to reach your goals safely and effectively. I use a blend of relaxation and therapeutic techniques to create a trusting environment that allows your muscles to relax, gaining access to the deeper structures that may be causing your pain. Each treatment is personalized to your specific goals, whether it be managing joint and muscle pain, improving range of motion, or simply to reduce the stress of daily life. I have experience treating sporting injuries, pregnancy, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, muscle/joint pain, and headaches caused by tension, tempromandibular joint dysfunction and whiplash. I am more than happy to help you!
